this loom kit resembles the backstrap looms seen all over Central and South America.

wood is sourced locally and then parts handmade in our homestead studio.

This wood is Fire treated to achive the dark finish. It is an ages old traditional technique around the globe for wood preservation and decor. Treated with boiled linseed oil thereafter to ensure an even longer lifespan and the party bonus of the wonderful smell of linseed oil.

Loom kit you receive will vary slightly from the photo because of the particularities of each piece of wood - including the grain of the wood used, natural timber coloring, etc. Even if it is from the same tree.
